Review: After being delayed since November 2009, The Wolfman has finally been set free. This film has brought a new respect to The Wolfman franchise. The legacy is filled with cheesy costume design and weak story lines with no real drive behind them. Now a new remake of a classic creature in the horror genre has been given new life. Benicio Del Toro did an amazing job as the tortured soul who suffered from the bite of a vicious creature that wreaked havoc on a London town. Sir Anthony Hopkins was brilliant, as always, as he portrayed a father who was not afraid to make his son suffer and say it was out of love. The film was a great remake that had all the makings of a decent horror movie. Even the annoying love interest, Gwen, didn’t mess up the movie for me. The obvious sighting of a sequel was noticed as the inspector was bitten.

This film gets 8.5 blades for doing a great job at spicing up a character that I always felt was the third most boring horror character after Swamp Thing and the Mummy.
