Laundry Hostage Takers

I’ve been able to enjoy the sweetness of two worlds. One world allows me to do laundry in my unmentionables while eating breakfast and boogying down to some tunes to wash away the world. Another world allows me not to think about an outrageously obscene repair bill once the machines stop responding to my woeful cries, hot streaming tears, and pitiful looks of despair.

I have no long-term hate for either worlds but this blast-off will be concerning the zombies that are known as Laundry Hostage Takers. These folks roll up with four carts filled with dirty clothes and decide to take up twelve machines because they don’t want to wash their socks with their panties. Or perhaps the two pairs of shoelaces needed their own space in a double loader machine and the tank tops had a disagreement with the shorts. Either way, twelve double loaders were needed. So now when I come with one load of crap to wash, rather than being able to use the $1.50 machine I am trapped into either using one that is $3.50 or the monster mama $5 quad loader – the one that this four cart zombie should have gone to.

laundry wars Alas I have a decision to make. Double around their backs like a quarter backing fool to get the last double load and risk tripping a 2-yr who should be in a bed and look like a ruthless prick; or concede and pay the $3.50. I’ll take my chances in the neighborhood as the prick because the other two dollars could go towards emergency train fare or a drink after work. I do have priorities.
