These fools in a store told Tyra that they knew she had a fake bag because the monograms were cut off and the original merchandise would never cut off the monograms. Whatever. Then a woman was on the show and said that you can look at the stitching, the stuffing, the lining and the inner workings of the bag. The audience went crazy when Tyra decided to cut the real Gucci bag. So what, shred that bitch. $1300 for a freaking bag?!!Jeeze that’s rent for some people & gas money for others. Afterwards the hungry audience wanted to touch the cut up bag…. WOW. I guess that’s what the people are asking to know. Next was the comparison of clothes. Spotting the fake outfits. Side note: the twin (B) on Tyra’s left-hand side walked like she was trying to keep metal balls in her good place. Back to the fashion, Tyraaked the audience which dress was real and with was fake; then she called on some chick in the audience who claimed to be a fashion major (Tanya). She stated that with pride. Also she claimed she could see a hole in dress ‘A’ so it was obviously the fake dress and cashmere should have more texture. Didn’t her face drop when she was proven wrong and dress ‘A’ was the real deal. How’s that major coming now? Which school was she from again? REFUND! Her own outfit was questionable so she would not have been my expert of choice. Remain an audience member.
Tyra spoke on how Forever 21 was being sued by Gwen Stephani and Diane Von Ferstenberg for copying their work. The knockoff was only $32 but the claim is against copying the logo. That won’t stop me from shopping forever at Forever 21! The next fake test was the hair. Is your weave believable? There seems to be a fan test on weaves – never knew. I guess it was a good idea for Tyra to do this show. Oscar, Tyra’s Glam Squad Guru, was up next to point out the cheap. So the model with the fake hair was upset that she once got tricked and purchased fake, fake hair. Synthetic. So another model came out to show human hair weave. So one way was that human hair bounces, while fake simply lays there. Human hair flies in and blends in together. Then the fake hair was tested and showed how the real hair blows in a separate direction from the fake. WOW. Now we know what to look for. Do people still lie about their hair being real or fake? Why?
Next was the diamond test. This is good to hear since people love jewelry and the more expensive the more important they feel. I played along with this one. One way to tell is the fog test. If it fogs up then it’s fake; if you can read through the stone, it is fake – you should not see through it. Next the guy said to look at the stamp on the jewelry. GE = costume jewelry and 925 = silver. He says that most do not place expensive diamonds in silver and no one places it in costume jewelry. One model had real but man made blue diamonds – so it was a mixture. He gave Tyra a smaller version of the jeweled necklace she was wearing during the show.
Now the propaganda from the industry is those counterfeit items supports terrorism, child labor, and drug trafficking. Sure. So how much do these companies pay their employees to help produce these $7,000 bags? How much are they giving back to their countries and the children and all that good shit.
