Andrew Malcolm of Los Angeles Times Blog gave an amazing quote from Forbes.com: “It’s not based on any particular data point,” a Treasury spokeswoman told Forbes.com Tuesday. “We just wanted to choose a really large number.” Forbes wrote a story explaining where the financial figures came from when deciding what would cover the debacle that frightened a nation.
Senate Democratic Majority Leader Harry Reid needed to get people “excited” into making things happen to bailout or “rescue” Wall Street. What the hell is wrong with these people? I say let Wall Street sink. Those people need to pull their heads out of their asses and get it together. The fact that the CEOs of large companies danced off Wall Street with their pockets lined with cash should make the entire industry clean up their act. Fix their own messes!
Why have others suffer for your carelessness? Now to find out that this imaginary figure was pulled from the ass of a Democrat? Great – another road to disaster being paved with pity and sorrow.
