Black people are ~~hungry~~ thirsty to have their fires quenched. Their salvation: Barack Obama. But is Bam-Bam simply a mirage? Are people in the position where they simply don’t give a fuck? Will they take anyone that can whisper just the right sweet nothings into their ears; just as long as it sounds good?

Tonight I heard some of a speech that Bam-Bam gave and it sounded real sexy. However, I understand some of the workings of politics. It is very cute to say what one “will do;” it always is. The downside is the reality of what one “can do.” People find it easy to call someone a hater or “negative” because he/she won’t drink the Kool-Aid in the Superman cup. Folks don’t want to admit how much work and time it will really take for true progress to take effect. Hey, if there’s no one on welfare or bitching about Health Care, then what will the Democrats have to hype their constituents about?

Democrats need the Republicans to be labeled as evil so they can yell “us vs. them” at all the campaign meetings. Bam-Bam is performing the way the victims need him to. Will it benefit them in the end? I highly doubt it but we’ll see.

I’m tired of Bam-Bam reiterating empty promises and all the slogans his camp can discover. When are people going to demand better from all who run for office? It seems that people have forgotten the okey doke that is performed every election and Bam-Bam’s performances are raved. The crowds seem so ready to be bent over in the name of Change that they are ignoring blatant flaws in this election. Fear is thick in the air and its choking us all. Who can scare who the best to drum up excitement.

As Bam-Bam points fingers on others who have fucked up in office, he brooms his NON-VOTES and re-written agendas under his Jesus Robes. Why the hell not, his followers don’t want to lift them up and see what’s really under there. Too scary? Who knows, but I’m ready for a gander. The word is out that new copies of his first book are flooding the market as things are being removed from the original first edition. True? Could be, but alas it’s simply a rumor – for now.

Not sure if I prefer someone who took actions while in office (wrong or not) or someone who simply thought that voting PRESENT would cover his constituents. Sounds like we are deciding between a lazy man to a man who reacts and justifies bad choices. At least he made a choice. So Mr. Present needs to step up and reveal WHAT the hell he’s going to do while in office. Let’s end the I Have A Dream speeches as I’m wide awake.
