Taking Time for a Joke

Left home an hour and a half early for an appointment so that I would get there with enough time to pick up a snack only to barely make my appointment at all. The sorry excuse for transportation called the NYC MTA has managed to screw up another peaceful and stress-free morning.

First the train was moving along smoothly, then it stalled claiming to be waiting on another train ahead of it. That sucked 5 minutes from my time but no biggie. Then I transferred to what was a local – again, no biggie. Until the announcement of shuttle buses. Holy shit! I was towards the front and missed the first shuttle by seconds but there was another one next to it so I hoped on. Stood in an awkward position for what felt like forever. Then finally made it to the destination to pick up the train the rest of the way. The train probably took five minutes or less but when it stood there empty with the doors closed for another three minutes I yelled on the inside. WTF!?

Why does the MTA enjoy messing with people”s time so damn much? Why do they take pleasure in multiple “delays” one after another? If it’s not public transport, they are fucking around in the toll booths. Between them and retarded drivers who still don’t know what the statement means to have your money ready really know how to throw the monkey wrench in a plan.

Just another on the move ramble from a ticked off commuter. I barely made it to my appointment. Thanks for sucking MTA.
