Solutions

As I go on with each passing day and witness horrors or read about them, I hope and ponder solutions. Never can I be foolish enough to believe that solutions to conflicts and problems are simple or easy to conjure up, but when will attempts at a couple of solutions occur?

Not empty attempts but actual attempts that have a chance at bearing fruit. Actual attempts to sit down and discuss multiple solutions that can be deployed at once rather than one by one like a list of failures waiting to be executed like a group of guilty fools on death row.

Solutions start with one. They start with self. A small burp within the atmosphere; but an existence none-the-less. I had an amazing discussion and fell into agreement that while I see problems and am able to conjure a few solutions, the question came down to am I truly ready to implement them. Even if it meant to “deprive” myself from things I have grown accustomed to. I’m ready. I’m ready to make that bountiful attempt. The attempt that would mean something to the community I could touch and myself. Not only am I ready, but also I have placed into action the words that I have spoken. I have made it a promise to myself to practice what I put in writing, and not to simply talk until I’m out of breath. How many others can say that about their own actions? Not many.

As I share ideas and lessons that I have learned, and those that have been passed down to me, I must be ready to walk the road of true difference and change alone. No “crew.” No “homies.” Just me. I’m scared, yet ready. This is a must and I may not see the effects my changes have on this world, but I’m willing to believe that me being effected is a good enough start.

Most of what occurs around any of us is simply the result of what someone else has placed into action. To be so selfish and claim that I will not make changes unless I can see the results would create a fool of me.
