This play grew on me as I was not an instant fan. The first time I heard Light My Candle, I wanted to torch the chick singing the song – it was that annoying. However, the moment Angel passed on, I was a wreck in the audience; me and a few of my girls were passing out tissues. A hott mess.
Well, years later and a wholehearted fan of the show and the original cast members, I found this awesome clip on YouTube and watch it ever chance I get. Broadway has become the “make-it-or-break-it” place for me.
This goes out to the Rentheads out there. Catch it on Broadway and enjoy the moment.
