Inconsiderate Employers

When will employers learn that actions speak louder than words? In times of real emergencies it seems that employers don’t have a protocol to follow. When a state or city calls for a State of Emergency and entire school districts are closed, what is the reason for waiting until almost 8:30 A.M to tell employees they don’t have to risk their lives or waste time traveling through a blizzard simply to process shit that can either be delayed or handled through an off-site crew?

When higher ups are relaxing in the comfort of their homes and wondering why there is such a low level of moral at their companies; do they believe that this would help? Are the main brain cells simply not connecting that just because you claim to care for your employees, that those words don’t mean a damn thing if they are traveling in bad weather unnecessarily? Why do some opt to compose 200 word emails for things that can be said in ten words or less on an emergency hotline voicemail? Who the hell is asleep on that decision?

Newsflash: If you’d like to keep quality employees – do right by them. STOP giving crappy speeches and sending useless emails – prove you care through actions.
