Finally, Someone Is Worthy To Cover
Well just when we thought no one in the Hip Hop arena can create a song that a non-hip hopper would want to cover we find Mandy Moore on Yahoo! Music taking on Rhianna. Umbrella has brought amazing success to this Bajan Princess and she’s been riding the wave with a smile. Officially she can ride it over to the cross-over section and begin to build on that. She just may come out of this career with a decent catalogue that others would want to cover.
Besides isn’t that the goal at the end of the day? To come with something that others would want years maybe even decades down the line? Don’t people want to be remembered with “classics” instead of as One Hit Wonders or is the mindset to collect the check and keep it moving? If that’s the case then music and entertainment as a whole is completely dead. Is there anyone willing to revive it? Keep it alive? Or should we just throw in the towel and accept mediocrity?
