Cablevision and American Broadcast Corporation (ABC) helped verify my thoughts that cable should go. After bullying folks who had antenna connections all these years to get a digital converter, it turned out that only antenna would be able to pick up the free signal of ABC and avoid the “Blackout” that hit Cablevision viewers for a few hours March 7th. Not only were antenna users able to catch the signal, but Cablevision continued to remind their subscribers that they are able to watch ABC shows on the Internet as well.
The question is then why pay for bullshit? Why continue to hand over money to folks who could careless and overcharge for junk? This weekend simply made my decision easier. So as I say my good-byes to crap television, I welcome first editions and fresh beginnings. Thanks Cablevision and all three major corporations that has made this an easy choice.
