This was to be the last day that Astroland’s Coney Island would be opened. All the talks of closing were realized tonight and the people came out in droves. It looked as though it was the first day of the park opening. I went straight for the Cyclone as it was one of the coolest things offered by Coney Island for once. That has always been my main attraction since I first went to the park. It will be missed. Wonder if Nathan’s will remain.
