What the hell is going on now? Colleges are siding with the party animals? Have they realized that they could earn more money from party campuses instead of “dry” ones? Let’s keep it real simple. What was the last college that claims to have been a “dry” campus, and actually was DRY?!!? Not many. So I say these 100 Presidents simply want to go public with their party schools and still have the government funds come in.
They claim that the current laws are encouraging the babies to drink. Schools like Ohio State, Dartmouth, and Duke really want us to buy into the crap that the 18-year-old kids feel pressured to drink because they are “not allowed.” Are we really going to use this poor ass excuse? This sounds like a BS reason and the MADD (Mothers Against Drunk Driving) organization isn’t buying the bull either. They are now forced to realize that the schools are not going to force the kids to “follow” the laws but they are not completely coming out to say that. They are line dancing around the issue and their partner is a document they scammed up behind closed doors.
Through an organization called the Amethyst Initiative, the presidents signed a statement that avoids requesting an explicit age for drinking. The real issue is the money. The feds refuse money from schools that ignore the official, legal drinking age Can these schools afford this? The presidents are crying that sad cry for the teens that if they can vote and apply for war, how can they not be mature enough to drink.
Why stop there? 16-year-olds are getting permits to drive so why not take a few shots while they’re at it? Heck, why stop at drinking – let them get buck wild and get married and start a family. I say just go back to how things used to be. That would include allowing 8-year-olds to begin working full days work. Why should they continue to eat off the backs of others? Forget a childhood. Get to work you lazy bitches!
We just need to go back to the good ‘ol days of Oliver.
