Review: Some movies that are worth watching would have to be Ginger Snaps: The Trilogy. This is going to focus on the last part of the trilogy. This movie starts us with ancestors of the Fitzgerald sisters who are very close. They trust no one but each other and find themselves taking refuge in a enclosed Canadian town in the 19th century.

This prequel shows us the path that the Fitzgeralds had to go through that brought them where they were. While among paranoid residents of the town they slowly begin to realize that not everything is normal around here. The people, mainly men, are very jumpy and secretive. They are suspicious about everything and everyone around them. If someone gets hurt they are treated with leeches. What they later learn is that the leeches serve two purposes; one to help heal and clean wounds and the other a type of “alarm system” to help distinguish when someone is not able to be saved.

As bodies pile up around them the story of the town begin to be revealed to the sisters and they are soon more than ready to leave. The only thing keeping them in the town is what lies waiting outside the town’s protective walls.

Will the sisters make it out alive and unharmed. Of course not – that is why they are what they are now. The story drags a bit every now and then but the execution is well enough to keep my interest. I just hope the prequel will be the last we see of the Fitzgerald sisters. Don’t really think there’s much to do after this. Part two took care of most of the future for them.

A decent horror this movie racks up 8 blades for it’s efforts. The story was strong enough to become a classic but wasn’t too corny that it could maintain a cult classic following.

10 handcuffs for Mystic. This newcomer at Penn Station has stepped onto the scene with great products. This won’t be the last I make a visit.
