Mi Plan is the Plan for 2009

Album: Mi Plan

Artist(s): Nelly Furtado

Official Drop Date: September 11, 2009

Blades: 8.5

Review: I’m not a fan of Furtado but she has introduced a new Spanish album to my collection and I’m grateful that I found it before the New Year hit. Mi Plan by Furtado is a mix of uptempo and mellowed sounds that soothes the soul and makes one want to dance. Enjoying this album is no hardship and is worth the discounted bucks for a purchase. Take a few Spanish lessons while singing along with Furtado, but please don’t feel discouraged in believing that you need to understand the language in order to get down. This Spanish pop is a must cop. I am rarely disappointed with Nelly. Love the title single (“Mi Plan” feat. Alex Cuba) and “Manos al Aire.” The hidden track “Fantasmas” ended the Pop/Spanish on a good note.

Nelly gets 8.5 blades for a job well done and I look forward to more work from her in 2010.

About Missy T.

(Staten Island): (Researcher Asst.; Critic; Street Reporter) I am so happy to join the gang in 2002 & for being given a chance. I got into this because there was only so much Nelly that I could listen to on KTU. I needed to see what else was out there. My friends didn’t like this new job at first, but now they can’t wait to get the newest edition or log-on online to see what’s new! My parents have gotten over the music I listen to and realize that they are simply for review. I have learned that artists who continue to state their names throughout the CD are a turn off. Either way, I can’t wait for the new year to kick off right.
