Bottom-line: So blinded by contradictions.

Review: Hoping that the end of trash will be near. This album leads me to believe that groups with extra junk pawn it off on unsuspecting listeners as a dual disc album for more money. The “specialty” is how they can fool folks each time with such an old trick. Still trying to wonder what the ‘boom’ is.

If there was an album that allowed them to celebrate moving so far away from what they were before, it would be this album and the song “Imma Be.” Anyone excited to be on BET is clearly lost in the matrix of bullshit. “Ring-a-ling” is about booty calls and I’m still waiting to hit a song that’s good both lyrically and rhythmically. More hot beats to create droids that will bop to the music and ignore the elementary elements on this album.

This band believes that if they sneak in one or two songs with somewhat of a message and Fergie screeching on the track, that all will be forgiven. I’ll say no to that assumption to this media driven group. “Now Generation” seems like an irony considering what this group promotes and how they promote. The BamBam references make this less than a desired song that I would want to hear – contradictions and all.

Speaking of Pangæa – please leave trash outside. “One Tribe” seems like a naive song but then again I’ve been called a cynic before. The second CD ends the wonder on my part as the majority of the musical samples explains why some folks purchased this album. The songs, once again, reminded anyone over 30 of a good song since so many were sampled. 4.5 blades and a C- for an album that plays on nostalgia.
