The time has come to crown the new Hype Junkie of 2009. We have slipped since 2002 but trust, the hype has not been missed. It was rather hard to ignore but there were more important fish to fry.
It’s actually timely that the crown will be passed from J Lo to this person. In fact, as soon as Jennifer Lopez took a much needed hiatus from the Hype Spotlight many, including this year’s winner, fought hard for the attention. Despite “wanting privacy” in few areas of their lives, many public figures (and some unknown drama whores) fight to be mentioned in a paper or on a TV show. As the old business adage states, no publicity is bad publicity.
Too many want to be mentioned day in and day out. (Tries to avoid this but sometimes finds itself caught up and must be snapped out of the Bullshit Tunnel. Either way, this leads us to this years winner.
Her fans from all over claim that she’s one of the hottest performers out and we say that she’s one of the best hyped out artists. Most would love to have as much hype blowing around about their own careers as she gets. Folks place blindfolds on their eyes and claim to not notice better, stronger performers present in the industry. Hell, better singers. Alas, the industry has flooded every corner of itself with her fluff and would love for each participant to fall at her feet.
From a weak album and single floating around, the same simple-shot videos, and now a bootlegged Terminator outfit being dragged to almost all appearances if the leotard is unavailable. She’s even had the misfortune of a sad Negro name Kanye Whinning West to speak on her behalf at the VMAs this year. That’s right, Beyonce “Wiggles” Knowles is the Hype Junkie of 2009. Since she wants to be called an icon, I’m sure there’s more hype to be had. I have my finger on the bullshit alarm for extra protection.

Kicking off this new segment for Bootlegged Reviews is the song Ah, Yeah! submitted by the indie artist, Flawless. This pop/dance single that has what it takes to get a party started and has a professional feel that many Indie projects lack. Coming from Queens, New York, Flawless shines on this track. Ashley Judd seems to have added her happy ass to the long list of folks in denial of the monster that their precious industry (the W.O.S.) has created. Judd has taken it upon herself to reiterate the obvious while ignoring the giant wizard puppeteer behind the puppets.
espite the truth that there are no set programs, more than half of the shows are unconfirmed, the first week or more have only been previews of what MIGHT be shown, and more than half of all television viewers have yet to see anything on the OWN Network, mainstream
2010 has been another year where the WOS Celebs have stepped their game up in the category of bullshit, hot mess, and sloppiness. Yesterday, two WOS young bloods were in battled in another Internet War of Words. Twitter has become the "safe zone" to attack folks behind a computer and have the fans directly involved. Instant bullshit brought to everyone's and anyone's computer screens - whether asked for it or not.
As many gleam over the multiple of things that has been added to her list of "deeds" which deed became her turning point. ... Negating her sexuality (that has little to do with her public actions as far as I'm concerned) what is really going on with her? ... She doesn't seem to read or comprehend some of the books she pushes through her "book club" being that two frauds have been discovered. She only "confronted" one of the frauds because the other media began to question her intelligence and if she and her cohorts even fact checked their information.
