Review: I went into this movie looking for a character in another movie that comes out in 2 weeks. Oh, well. I decided to stay and was pleased until the end. Daybreakers presented the same Ethan Hawke and that bored but then I saw comic relief, Willem Dafoe, and he made the film even more enjoyable.

The fact that folks turned into vampires as a result of a disease was different to me and no one can deny that. The hosting of humans was nothing new as it was done in Matrix but it moved the story along a bit. As for the lack of Negros, that will be a lifelong thing for Hollywood to continue to deny that they are “not racists” and that Negros should stop talking about it. But that is impossible as we are continuously being told that we either do not exist or that we are evil or barely in existence. So that will be skipped for now.

Daybreakers is a decent film but not worth sitting in a theater for. Might as well wait for one of the multiple movie rentals to send it you, or you could wait for its arrival on the Late, Late Night Movie Show on television.

2 blades for the disease and cure concepts.
