To say that the second installment was a disappointment would be an understatement to say the least. I barely made it through this book and wanted the interaction between Swan, Victoria, and the Lycans to be more intense. Even the Cullen attempted suicide was whack. The unnecessary tension between the blood sucker and the mongrel was stupid and a waste of time.

The book was definitely more graphic than the televised cable series and that is a bit surprising being that the televised version was a bit graphic every now and then. The book was a bit more interesting but not by much. I'm from the Anne Rice and Bram Stoker's School of Vampires and still love their versions over most.

Top level position at work, no stress, recreational sex, no worries of disease, and a comfortable existence. However something is wrong - he's shorter than his counterparts within his caste. He wonders what were the citizens like before the current restrictions on life were implemented. Test tube babies are the norm.
