Review: Let’s just say that this film could have been wrapped up sooner than two hours. Once again another remake of a grown up Alice who can’t remember that the place she visited so many years ago is apparently called Underland and not Wonderland. Either way, Alice was sought after to help bring down the Red Queen, Iracebeth, and the “adventure” begins. I’ve never been a huge fan of this drug induced fairytale but the 3D was fun – mainly because I didn’t get a splitting headache from the glasses.

The film, despite Johnny Depp, is no big whoop. Going against the majority, Johnny Depp is NO reason to see this film. He’s a good actor but even his performance did not make me excited that I was watching this 2-hour movie. Anne Hathoway as the White Queen, Mirana, got on my nerves. Not because her acting was bad, she was simply the same, typical “good” witch/queen that literally fluttered around the damn screen. To see that mess in 3D was simply more annoying than anything else.

I say catch it as a rental and use the pause button to take naps if you need to. I am not sure why I was hoping for more, but I do know I got way less than what I bargained for. This is more like a C flick in my opinion (cut the crap). 2.5 blades and that’s a stretch. You can bet your cake on that.
