Review: Now I don’t speak Spanish but that’s not a requirement to hear an out of tuned musician. ¿Cómo se dice: not a singer en español? I know cantar is to sing! Can we aim for no cantando on the next album? ¿Por favor?
I’ll get serious now. It’s been a good minute since the last album and Jennifer Lopez, formally known as J Lo/Bennifer, now known as Mrs. Anthony is working on her fifth English studio album. Honestly, I’m not looking forward to it one bit. When I heard about this one I thought “ok, she’s coming for her people and is going to give them a good album.” Why did I think this? I have no idea. She’s not taken the advice of shopping for a reputable singing coach or maybe she has and is simply not a strong singer. Yes everyone needs a hustle but is it really bad to focus on just your acting career?
There is no tap dancing around this burning bush. Oh no. I say let’s just throw the CD in the bush and call it a night. There are guests on this album but I’m still not moved. Maybe I too need the same numbing device that folks in the studio must have had, but I don’t like Tequila like that. I wonder if Heineken would have the same effect.
I’m looking for the lyrics translated somewhere so I can see what she was trying to say. Por Que Te Marcha was decent but cannot hide the fact that she’s weak as a singer. I saw her perform on American Faux Idol and I was not impressed to even see her do “her thing” on a stage. I think this was the song she performed, but don’t take my word for it. I was half listening.
I’ll keep harping on her vocals until someone can find better use for them. If Janet Jackson can whisper through an entire CD and still be named an icon I don’t understand how Jennifer Lopez’s screeching cannot be marketed for the greater good. I know there will be fans who’ll get a bit perturbed but [at this point] who cares. This album is a trip. I can only hope for better with the English album but I know I’ll only be setting myself up for disappointment.
For this lap in the Whirlpool of Shame, 1.5 blades and a WTF? She may get the other half once the lyrics get translated; then again – maybe not.

Instant bullshit brought to everyone's and anyone's computer screens - whether asked for it or not.

She doesn't seem to read or comprehend some of the books she pushes through her "book club" being that two frauds have been discovered. She only "confronted" one of the frauds because the other media began to question her intelligence and if she and her cohorts even fact checked their information.
